Cycles, not excavation
Handling work is continuous pick-and-place: the machine grabs, slews, releases and returns, for entire shifts. It never digs. That changes which specifications matter and which are irrelevant.
What actually governs output
- Cycle time, which is dominated by slew speed and boom geometry rather than by breakout force.
- Grab capacity at working radius, not maximum grab capacity.
- Operator visibility, which is why elevating cabs are standard rather than luxury.
- Hydraulic cooling, because continuous high-cycle duty generates far more heat than intermittent excavation.
The rotator is not optional
Continuous rotation lets the operator present the grab correctly without repositioning the carrier. Without it, productivity falls by a large margin regardless of how well everything else is specified.
Material density drives sizing
Loose scrap, baled scrap, timber and mixed waste differ enormously in density. A grab correctly sized for loose material will overload the machine on baled material at the same volume. Size on the densest material you will actually handle.
